My first night in Lorida...

I have decided the 2 hour trip up to the property is a nice short trip, so, I decided to try it this past friday with a twist, I figured I might as well set up a tent and stay overnight to see how it looked at night. Well, it was great! I got there and set up camp, planted the three trees, (Areca Palm, Oleander and another Bouganvilla Bush) I had brought to hopefully bring a bit of shade and give my property some character. I Would have loved to build a fire but the cuttings from having the lot bushhogged left carpet of tinder and I had exactly I gallon of water, so, no fire this time..heres some pics, I was pleased to see within the short walk I took in the evening (unfortunately forgot to bring the camera, but not my trusty machete!) the following wildlife: An Armadillo, 3 cottontail jackrabbits, an alligator in a small canal, a wild turkey, lots of of wild hog tracks which I heard the owners of during the night, a red-tailed hawk fly overhead with a snake in its talons, and raccoon track, owners not found.

Another peice of Dirt

I am always looking for something, well, everything actually, and a few months ago while surfing the web I found a little parcel of land in central Florida for sale, for $1,500 bucks so I jumped on it. Its a long story, but it ended with a guy needing some money, and my luck, it was tax return time! But, here it is. It sits between an orange grove, a cow pasture, and a 5 by 10 mile lake. I'm Excited, so, I got it mowed so I could get in there and plant some trees, its like a Blank Palette, but, so is my checkbook, so, this may take awhile...

December Continues

Here we are its Mid December, not alot to say just that I will be headed to NC on Christmas Day, I got a great deal on Allegiant into spartanburg, I am tempted to park some old car there near the Airport, it would be awesome to just take a cab a Bang, right to the mountain, how feesable would that be?? Well, Im meeting a truss guy on the 29th to discuss stacking 3 sets of trusses atop each other to build the A-Frame Shell, (have I written this already?) anyway, it's seems like its goona be very expensive, and I have no $$ but, I have gotten this far and its been ok, so, damn the torpedoes and global economic meltdown, I'm DOIN IT!
